Quintessential Mitch

I find matchbox cars lined up in random places around my house ALL the time. Sometimes they're in order by size, other times they're in order by color or model-type. Sometimes there's no order at all. Anyway, I love it. I'm not sure why but there is something so cool about watching a young mind at work.

It sure is nice that he likes to play with cars, trucks and tractors. It's even nicer that he is categorizing them the way he does. He got somebodies math gene and as I recall from a previous blog-it's not yours. (nor mine)

"43. I am not good at math. And I hate it."

I used to think boys loved cars because parents gave them cars and girls loved dolls for the same reason. Now that I have both, I see I was wrong. Very wrong. Boys love cars because they are wired to love cars. My little Brig is obsessed. And he's not even 2. That is a great picture, by the way.

Oh, and Brigham loves dolls, too, so maybe a little of it is environmental!

At least he lines them up! Morgan likes to scatter his throughout the house. It's great.

That is so cute. I think its mostly cute because that's just a part of him. Its unreal to me how kids just learn things without being taught them-or have certain interests. I love the angle of your picture. Ahhh. I really need to find something that Ellie can entertain herself with. She did just get her first doll (not sure why I didn't get her one sooner) and that is helping.

I agree. It is so cute to watch kids and think...what is going on in that head of yours?
