Stuck Labels

Oh how I love projects that involve pretty labels. If you are also a label-lover, check out this brand new company: Stuck Labels. The designs are simple but clever and the prices are affordable. Card Club

Who knew that a long label with a sweet sentiment, wrapped around the edge of a card could bring me so much joy? I'm not sure why, but it does. I made these cards for my little card group but I'm thinking I'll use this same design for some personalized stationary and give it as some sort of gift because I am really enjoying the look of that wrap-around label.

Sewing on Cards

Even though I don't necessarily intend to, all my cards end up looking very similar, with some type of flower and/or stitching detail. However, I think these ones turned out especially cute.

Paper Thread

Last night when I was entertaining my kids at the mall (they have a play area), I discovered a new store, Paper Thread. Since I pretty much live under a rock, this store is probably common knowledge to most people but nonetheless, it is new to me. When I first saw it, I thought it was a Paper Source and I had died and gone to heaven. (I don't think there are Paper Source stores in Ohio. Sad.) However, upon entering I decided this store is equally as rad. It's like a mix between Paper Source and Anthropologie and I love it, love it, love it! The name, says it all: Paper Thread. Two things I'm very passionate about. I had both my kids with me so my time was VERY limited (Mitch isn't a real trooper when it comes to shopping) but this is what I could gather in the few minutes I spent in the store. It is an eclectic mix of fun paper goods (stationary, wrapping paper, custom invitations, envelopes) with a few fabric-type items (ribbon by the yard, totes, funky throw pillows and quilts.) BUT, my favorite part of the store? They have a real photo booth! I've seen the lame digital ones but this was a real, bona fide photo booth that prints out four black and white photos on a little film strip! (Jared and I's next date night is for sure going to include blowing some money in that booth.) Anyway, most of the items I checked out seemed a little pricey so I'll most likely never buy anything there, but it will definately be on my list of fun places to window shop. I'm a little bummed because I am unable to find a Paper Thread web-site. Has anyone else heard of this store? Do you think it's rad too?

I Love/Hate Letterpress

Okay, so I'm not getting married anytime soon and I'm not having another baby anytime soon. I should also mention that I would most likely have to sell the baby who's birth I was announcing to pay for these BUT that doesn't stop me from looking. Letterpress, why do you have to be so beautiful and desirable, yet so expensive and out of my reach? I love you and I hate you.

A Couple Things I'm Loving Right Now

a) Yellow polka dot wrapping paper from Paper Source. I would like to wallpaper my entire house with this stuff.

b) Sticker paper from Staples. I'm thinking the labeling possibilities could be endless.

That's A Wrap

FYI: The Martha Stewart Collection of wrapping paper is on sale at Michaels for $1.00 a roll! (The clearance tag said $2.00 so I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the register.) In addition to it's pretty packaging capabilities, this is a heavier weight paper that would also make great shelf or drawer liner.

Lovely Paper Site

There is something about beautiful paper coupled with great design. I found this lovely paper site via Design Mom: Cotton Idea Studio. Pricey but fun to look at.

Fun Envelopes

Who wouldn't love to see a pretty little envelope like this amongst the boring bills and junk mail? Paper Source is a great resource for fun envelopes, stationary and all things paper. (It's also pretty easy to make your own using scrapbook or wrapping paper.)
