Gestating

I have had a few requests for a picture so, here I am at 32 weeks/8 months. That means I'm in the home stretch with only 8 more weeks to go! I've been busy reading all sorts of natural childbirth books (I'm taking the plunge this time - no epidural!) and enjoying the nice weather with the boys. It's kind of crazy to think there is going to be a third munchkin running around this place pretty soon. "Mother of three" sounds like really serious business.

I've had both my kids without epidurals (my labor is too fast so I don't even have the option - not complaining though) and let me tell you, it is REALLY painful BUT you can do it! I just keep thinking, "Its almost over, its almost over" - breathe - "Its almost over!" But I believe there is no shame in having an epidural either.
And you look so cute prego! I think I was at least twice your size. I would love genes like yours.

You look amazing!! And way to go and shoot for no epidural. I've had several of my friends do it with their third as well and they were all happy they decided to do it. It is quite an experience- I didn't know that about Shelley!! Glad it went quick and hope it does for you too. I would have loved to experience it too, but it just never worked out. Maybe in heaven...but maybe that wouldn't be heaven...anyway you can do it!!

Thanks for all the nice comments! I definitely don't feel so cute or amazing so I appreciate the encouragement!
Shelley-good for you for going natural! I'm expecting it to hurt but I have also had pretty fast labors in the past so hopefully it will be manageable. Either way, I'm excited to give it a try! :)

Kim you look terrific! Good for you about the epidural--its really intrigued me. Have you looked into hypo babies? I think I want to give it a whirl next time.

Autumn- Yeah, I've read several books and the one I'm currently readying is a Hypnobirthing book recommended by a friend. I'll let you know how it goes!

I had Caroline naturally--it was painful, but it was so fast I can't remember much about it. Whatever you do, don't get an intrathecal. They talked me into it as the last minute, and I ended up throwing up in between contractions and with a spinal headache for a week. Not fun. If I have #5, I will definitely go natural again. Good luck, my friend. You can do it!

Marnae-Thanks for the advice! Throwing up in between contractions? That sounds miserable! Was that with Caroline or Clara? Spencer's labor was really fast so I'm hoping for the same this time around! :)

Kim! you do look amazing! i was so huge I just wanted to lay down like a fat whale until ethan was born! ;)We woman are very strong and able to handle all kinds of pain. I am glad I did not have an epidural, I wanted to feel everything. Well, 15 hours kind of sucked but if yours is fast then even better! I love your blog, I'm a fan! love ya xx

You look beautiful (as always) Kimmy! Seeing this picture made me miss you so much! And good for you with the no-epidural goals! That was my goal with both of my kids, and the the whole c-section thing got in the way. You sorta need pain meds for that. :)

Look at those two gorgeous girls!
{Kim, you are teeny tiny!}
However you deliver this little one, as crazy as it sounds, enjoy it.
