Photo Wall Inspiration

I'm thinking about tackling number 27 (create a family photo wall) on my 28 Things list. I think I want an eclectic wall like the one above with a variety of frame sizes and colors. I also like the idea of adding some art in among the pictures. Thoughts?

I love this. I just made a frame wall in my living room with different colors and shapes, but they are empty so far until i come up with stuff to put in them. Also, I have a friend who did this in her bathroom and the frames are filled with her kids artwork. it is adorable.

Sounds awesome to me! I hate when I see people do photo walls on HGTV or somewhere and they all have matching perfect frames and I think- I'll never be able to do that- way to expensive. But the eclect thing is a WAY better idea. I love it!

I saw this same photo in Real Simple and I too loved it. The color as well as black and white pictures look awesome. I love the different size frames and the art work mixed in. I think this is a great idea. I am sure your finished project will look amazing.

I love any collections of any photos or art-so of course I love this. Yes, go for it.

There's a great spread in the new Pottery Barn catalog of a wall of frames (not with family photos but an easy substitution)that made me think of you. Not sure if it's online but if you have a chance to get a catalog it's on page 23.

I love this wall. Gorgeous. I try so hard to make things look a little eclectic but I'm far too matchy matchy, it's very frustrating.
